The Algarve Tourism Association (ATA) is investing in the meetings industry segment, creating online specialised content and disseminating the variety of infrastructure and services in the region. The new contents are available at, a platform that will gather the region's offer in this area, presenting the Algarve as a privileged destination for professional events.

"This action aims to increase the Algarve's reputation as a privileged destination for events in the business tourism area, enhancing a communication channel that professionals in this segment can have immediate access to a set of relevant information about resources and infrastructure available in the region, information essential when deciding the venue for the organisation of your event," said Dora Coelho, executive director of ATA, the agency responsible for the region's tourism promotion in foreign markets.

On the site you will be able to find solutions for business tourism in the Algarve, suggestions of venues, information about the destination and its valences for professional events, as well as activities the region offers to complement events. With these new content, available in nine languages, ATA expects "not only to achieve a better capacity to respond to the needs of potential customers", but also "to enhance the promotion of its associates who are specialised service providers in this segment."
